Apple sues Pystar

July 16th, 2008

To no ones surprise, Apple finally steps up and sues Pystar on 8 counts of copyright infringement, breach of contract, trademark and trade infringement, and unfair competition.

Pystart used a modified version of Apple OSX on their el-cheap-o computers providing a MAC experience at a much better price. Pystar also provided their own patches which Apples says were downloaded right off their own site.

Apple is also requesting a recall for every Pystar Apple clone sold. There is no way this can happen as people have already made the purchase, and no one can take their computers back. A recall is a tad far-fetched, but then again, this is Apple we’re talking about here.

Miley Cyrus iPhone Pictures Hacked

July 15th, 2008

Miley Cyrus, a 15 year old that stars in Hannah Montana, had pictures from her iPhone illegaly stolen. The pictures really aren’t that bad and this really isnt a big deal. Why you ask? Because Miley simply faked all of this. Her photos weren’t stolen, she’s doing a little pre-teen release like Paris Hilton did a couple years back with her hit video.

Hackers probably wouldn’t “hack” her phone, but maybe would break into a website that would store all those photos. If Miley’s iPhone did get hacked, all you ya’ll iPhone users have something coming to you!

3G iPhone cracked in 24 hours.

July 14th, 2008

The 3G iPhone was cracked only 24 hours of the the official launch which means the device is going to be on ebay very soon if not already. An unlocked phone lets you use the phone with other service providers in stead of the service providers Apple “thinks” you should be going with. You gotta love how Apple thinks they can make their own laws.

Apple, which considers the unlocking of the iPhone a violation of its terms of use, has signed exclusive iPhone distribution agreements with network operators across the world.

IE8: Internet Explorer 8 Download, more secure?

July 3rd, 2008

Microsoft says it is beefing up their up and coming Internet Explorer 8 (IE8). Cross-site scripting, malware, and read-only file upload paths are a few highlights of the up and coming browser, aiming to be more secure. Microsoft is integrating their malware protection in Internet Explorer 8 as well by checking third party sites that contains databases of known malicious websites. Suspicious URL’s will show in gray while good addresses will show in black, helping the user know if they are on a bad site or not.
